• Camera & Alert Data: SpotAlert may temporarily process images or frames to detect motion or faces. These files are auto-deleted unless you choose to save them.
• Device & Usage Data: Includes browser type, device model, IP, usage logs for security and service quality.
• Support Messages: Messages sent to support are stored to respond and improve service.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and improve SpotAlert services.
• To send email/SMS/app alerts when unknown faces or motion is detected.
• To verify identity and protect against fraud.
• To personalize your dashboard experience.

3. Your Control & Choices

You may delete your account and all collected data anytime. Camera data, alerts, and recognition lists can also be removed from your dashboard.

4. Data Security

We use encryption, secure servers, and monitoring tools to protect your data. Although no system is perfect, we work continuously to improve security.

5. Data Retention

We retain data only as long as needed for providing the service. Account deletion fully removes your data within 30 days unless legally required otherwise.

6. Sharing & Third-Party Services

We never sell personal data. We only share data with trusted partners such as cloud storage, email delivery, and payment processors — all under strict security agreements.

7. AI & Facial Recognition Transparency

SpotAlert uses AI to detect faces and classify them as known or unknown. Image data is deleted immediately unless you choose to save or label it.

8. Cookies & Website Tracking

We use essential cookies and lightweight analytics for performance improvements. You can disable cookies, but some features may stop working.

9. International Users & Data Transfers

Your data may be stored in the U.S., Canada, or other secure locations under GDPR and PIPEDA compliance.

10. Children's Privacy

SpotAlert is not intended for users under 18.

11. Limitation of Liability

SpotAlert is provided “as is.” Our maximum liability is limited to the amount you paid in the last 12 months.
